I have been a subscriber to the CR list for a couple of years now, but normally can't even keep up with reading the postings let alone post myself. However I always read the many posts (eventually) as there is always some thread(s) that are of interest.
Anyway here is my dilemma - I have a Paris frame and forks (I think it is a Tour de France model of about 1952) which I am finally progressing with after a very long delay.
At some point it has had a number of brazeons added including some Nuvo Record rear dropouts fitted with Porta Catena 'shoe' (I also have the Porta Catena lever).
Some of the other brazeons are going to be removed and can be done easily however these are a different matter. I need to decide soon as I would like to get the frame resprayed next month.
I can't make up my mind as to whether to leave them and so have the frame at a later period or to remove the Campag dropouts and replace with something more original.
I would appreciate any input and opinions thos on the CR would have.
If I do decide to replace them - what with ?
Also the T de F also has some Fiamme Red label rims - would modern 700C tubs fit these ?
Thanks in advance for any input
