I knew about the translation, but did not know about Tom's connection with Harry Rensch and Paris Cycles. Now it makes sense why Tom would have picked such an obscure name for his bikes.
Actually, I worked at the Clapham shop with Tom as a bike mechanic and general helper and I got the frame in lieu of a salary.
Tom was associated with my old racing club, Sorian RC. Quite a number of us had Ciclo Parigis at the time.
I hope that your Easter weather gets better. We still have a few patches of the white stuff after a foot of snowfall last week!!
