Jack,
Thanks for coming to the first annual San Diego Custom Bicycle Show. You can bet the show will be back in 2010 and it will be bigger, better, an d more organized. I like your suggestion for a BBQ lunch; the only probl em is that the venue does everything possible to prevent this. I do have a plan though, and I'll be looking into it. We now have some money ro w ork with, lots of time to make a nicer show, and a track record that has put us on the map as a major player. We plan to expand and improve ever y year from now until who knows when.
This was quite a different experience from being a framebuilder. We had a great team, David Ybarrola, Chuck Slesinger, and myself, that was able to work together to make this happen. I'm really proud of those guys. T here was some pain and strain in the beginning; but the entire thing has ultimately been very satisfying in the same way making a beautiful bike frames is. It's a new type of experience and I think I actually enjoy i t! Look for a much refined event in 2010. Better begin making plans now to attend. If you miss it you will regret it.

To all that put on the Show in San Diego. Great Job!
The show had a great vibe and there was some great product on display. For a first showing it was nicely sized and it was a good baby step. Considering the economy everybody there was very positive, it was nice w ay to get away from the day to day BS. Hopefully this will grow in the fut ure.
One piece of constructive criticism. Figure out a way to do some sort o f BBQ for lunch if that is possible.
Great effort.
