Hi all, looking for some direction on making a triple crank work where th ere once was a double.
Putting a Sugino Mighty Tour (thank you Chuck) on my '81 Raleigh Superbe. U nfourtunatly several years ago I had a front der. braze on installed. I hav e read that most? double der will work if not too much of a difference in t ooth count. I have 36-44-52. The Suntour literature says a Cyclone will wor k with most triples, and will handle an 18t diff. I am having trouble wit h the amount of side to side movement with my present Superbe Pro, and my Cyclone is a clamp on.
This would be a good time to ask, when did braze-on front derailleurs sta rt?
