Subject: [CR] FOR SALE - Select Reproduction Decals (...Some In Very Limited Quantities)

All prices quoted herein do not include shipping and/or insurance which will be done at cost. I would be happy to aggregate shipping expenses on multiple items destined for the same physical mailing address where practicable. PayPal is preferred, but I also accept payment by cashier's check, money order, or well concealed cash (...mailed at your own risk). Your satisfaction is guaranteed to the extent that you are welcome to return all or part of any purchase for a full refund of monies not to include shipping and/or insurance provided that said merchandise is returned to me in a reasonably timely fashion and that it is in substantially the same condition as when I first sent it out to you (...please let me know in advance of your intentions should this prove to be the case).

Interested parties should please correspond directly and "OFF LIST" through my public email address of rsb000(AT)hotmail(DOT)com (...where that trio of numerals would be zeros and NOT the letter "O"). All inquiries will be handled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that all of these are leftovers or spares from some of my own recent vintage cycling projects. As such, it is NOT my intention to reproduce yet more copies of any individual decals or those decal sets itemized below. So, whenever this supply is gone, it is likely gone for the foreseeable future (...at least with respect to my being the source).

01) MAVIC Argent 12 SSC partial rim decal set - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction MAVIC SSC rim decals consisting of individual “M”, “A”, “V”, “I”, “C” block letters in Black, as well as secondary “SPECIAL SERVICE des COURSES” decals with Black lettering on Gold background - this offering DOES NOT include the primary MAVIC rim decal apropos early Argent 12 SSC rims as these should properly be rendered on a foil substrate (...something which I am unable to do) … HOWEVER … substitutes for those earliest versions are readily available by purchasing a set of reproduction Championnat du Monde decals from CR List member Greg Softley of Coffs Harbor, Australia and then using that MAVIC primary decal and omitting the secondary CdM specific one altogether) - also, the “SPECIAL SERVICE des COURSES” decal should properly be produced on a Gold foil substrate as opposed to the Gold colored background I used (...sorry, as I stated earlier, I cannot reproduce foil style decals - but these are certainly better than nothing) - $15.00 USD per set plus shipping at cost (...four and only four sets available).

02) MAVIC Module E secondary rim decals - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction MAVIC Module E secondary rim decals consisting of Black lettering on a Gold background - suitable for use on first edition Module E rims dating from late 1975 through 1977 only (...not the later ones with the singular “integrated” labels which are otherwise readily available as reproductions) - this offering DOES NOT include the primary MAVIC rim decal apropos early first edition Module E rims as these should properly be rendered on a foil substrate (...something which I am unable to do) … HOWEVER … substitutes are readily available by purchasing a set of reproduction Championnat du Monde decals from CR List member Greg Softley of Coffs Harbor, Australia and then using that MAVIC primary decal and omitting the secondary CdM specific one altogether) - $20.00 USD per set of two plus shipping at cost (...three and only three sets available).

03) Ideale 2001 saddle decal set - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction Ideale 2001 decals in Black and White on a Silver background - suitable for use on Ideale 2001 model saddles produced from 1973 through approximately 1984 - includes two large decals to be affixed to the side skirts of the saddle as well as one smaller decal for the rear - $15.00 USD per set of three plus shipping at cost.

04) Ideale 2002 saddle decal set - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction Ideale 2002 decals in Black and White on a Gold background - suitable for use on Ideale 2002 and 2002 Titane model saddles produced from 1973 through approximately 1984 - exacting reproductions of those I sought to replace the faded versions on my own Ideale 2002 Titane destined for use on my “”tout François” Vitus 979 project - includes two large decals to be affixed to the side skirts of the saddle as well as one smaller decal for the rear (...does NOT include the special Titane decal found on the underside of those particular models) - $15.00 USD per set of three plus shipping at cost.

05) Vitus 979 tubing decal set - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction Vitus 979 Dural tubing decals in Black and White with Gold background and Red “979” lettering - suitable for use on Vitus 979 Dural framesets produced from approximately 1983 through the 1990’s - exacting reproductions of those I sought for my own purposes - includes one large frame decal to be affixed to the down tube between the shifter braze-ons and the lower head tube lug as well as two smaller fork decals - these are far and away the most common version of Vitus 979 “feather” style tubing decals produced and yet are unavailable as either originals or reproductions from any other source so far as I have been able to determine (...go figure) - $10.00 USD per set of three plus shipping at cost.

06) Vitus 979 / 992 decal set - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction Vitus decals in White with Black outline - suitable for use on Vitus Duralinox 979 or 992 bicycles produced from the early 1980’s through the 1990’s - of course, they can also be used in conjunction with other various Viti such as their 787 Futural, 797 Course, Carbone, Carbone 9, O.C.T., and Titane Course models which are all decidedly beyond the scope of this particular forum - in order to produce the exact decals I sought for my own project, I purchased an original set in Yellow from Mike Fraysse and then had them duplicated in White (...only later on did Mike come up with originals in White, aaaargh) - includes decals for the head tube, top tube, seat tube, down tube, seat stays, chain stays, and front fork (...use them all, or just a few to taste and preference) - you can always purchase genuine originals in either Yellow or White from Mike Fraysse on eBay for $59.99 USD - $25.00 USD per set plus shipping at cost (...four and only four sets available - please note, this grouping DOES NOT include actual Vitus tubing decals, ONLY the frameset decals).

07) Mondia seat tube decals - die cut, ultra thin vinyl reproduction “MONDIA” vinyl decals (...one for each side of the seat tube - or in other words, one matched pair) in Red with Black outline and Gold drop shadow - suitable for use on various 1970 through 1985 vintage Mondia bicycles including select versions of their Super / Special, Prestige, Competition, Criterium, and Cyclo-Cross models - these decals were begot of a need to replace those which were in the process of disintegrating on my 1977 Mondia Prestige - would you believe that I just recently “discovered” a whole batch of these that had been put aside for some reason and then promptly forgotten, so there is now an unexpectedly ample supply to be had of these - if you have need of a complete set of decals for your own Mondia, CR List member Greg Softley of Coffs Harbor, Australia has them available through his Cyclomondo eBay store - $2.50 USD per pair plus shipping at cost.

P.S. If you are of the mind to ask yourself, "...gee, I wonder if this guy might be willing to make up a different set of decals just like the ones I need for my own pet bike project(s)?", please do not go there. As I have said in this and other forums before, there are companies and individuals readily available who either derive or at least supplement their income doing exactly this type of work for hire - AND I HAVE NO INTENTION OF BECOMING THEIR COMPETITION! I only intend to take on those precious few tasks which suit my own narrow interests and only then when I deem other existing options to not be viable for whatever reason.
