Greetings campers
Been ogling Limited frames since I purchased mine in 75. Long point lugs or Nervex were the two options that were presented to me by the dealer (Champaign Cycle, Champaign IL) from the frames that Turin (Chicago IL ) had in stock at the time. (So we all know what I did with my hard earned tuition money for THAT semester.). Yes, there were cutouts in the Nervex head lugs too, at least the ones I've seen. The Nervex lugs and "touring" frame seem to be a standard combination. Some form of brazed-on rear rack attachments on the seat stays were on every Limited I've ever seen that has the Nervex lugs. I've never seen the rack braze-ons on frames with the long point lugs. No idea if the "touring" frame actually had a different geometry from the other style frames. Still searching for a 58cm "touring" frame to compare to my long point frame. If anybody wants to compare measurements (or sell their frame), I'll measure mine. I've always been curious.
