Indeed, the reason I had a good one and a bad one was for the same reason. I still have the tires on one of my Baylis bikes. The tread has cracked a bit, but I only ride that bike near my house. I'm not overly concerned with them causing me a problem. And, they ride great. Very supple, just not very reliable. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL USA
