This one breaks my heart, but once again I've too many bikes for my storage space, and so something has to go. I will be putting my mid 70's Nobilette up for auction at Cirque. This frame dates back from the Ann Arbor shop days, with a fairly recent pearl white repaint by Matt Assenmacher with correct decals. Check out the Master's work back from when he was a fuzzy cheeked lad. Pictures of the frame are here:

The bike is built almost entirely with 1st Generation Sun Tour Superbe, including the uber rare 175mm crank arms. After the pictures were taken, I added Superbe 36 spoke hubs laced to Ambrosio Synthesis rims, shod in Conti Sprinters. Light but tough wheels, able to hold up to my 240 + lbs. The shift levers and seatpost were also "upgraded" to Suntour. A correctly sized set of brakes were also added, so no more rear drop bolt brake. The frame is 60 cm C-C, with a 58 cm TT. Very nice riding bike, more sport/race than touring (no eyelets on the drop outs), but still comfortable. Beautifully thinned lugs, with a hypnotic fast back seat cluster. I'll cry when this one goes, but it's for a good cause. So take out that 2nd mortgage, cash out those IRAs and retirement savings, and come ready to bid your socks off. The donation will be at least 30%.
