All this talk about soaking leather saddles reminds me of how my Brooks Pro saddle on my dear old Raleigh Pro Mark IV got broken-in: I was caught in a thunderstorm at the Arkansas State Road Racing Championships (I think it was 1977) and my still-new saddle got soaked along with the rest of me.  I finished the race "soggy".  When it dried it was perfectly shaped to my behind.  That Brooks was the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned.  I wish I still had it.
