Unfortunately the information on http://www.velobase.com is often not reliable - and in the case of the Rally the picture of what they say is the first generation is actually 2nd generation - it has the plastic cups over the adjusters. In the the case of the NR rear what is clearly illustrated is most definitely not the first version - and I think the wording stamped on the bodies 'Patent Campagnolo' versus 'Patent' is not much of an indication of date beyond being pre-1970. The very first versions of the NR had the stop machined into the lower pivot housing; the second version had a stop 'brazed' to the pivot housing and the third version had it screwed into place. I rather suspect that a neat timeline including the wording may be difficult to determine...
