I have a Pogliaghi frameset for sale. It is from the 1975-1976-time period.
The Serial number is D979. The correct decals for this frame are the 27
World Championships series. The frame has fresh primer and fresh fork crown
chrome and is ready for Brian to paint it for you. The Paint and chrome
have already been paid for. All you need to do is to tell Brian the color
you want it painted. The fork crown is plain and simple without an SP
engraved in the top. I know the Bottom Bracket looks funny on this bike
because it looks as though is has an R cutout in it. And it may be or it
could be Pogliaghis attempt at a SP. If it is an R and not an SP my guess
is that Pogliaghi ran short of BB shells this particular day or week and
ran next door to the Rossin shop and bought or borrowed one from them. I
have no doubt that this is a true Pogliaghi for a couple of reasons. First
is the serial number on the side of the seat lug. As far as I know Rossin
never put serial #s on the seat lug of the Rossin / Poliaghias . Second if
you have ever ridden a Pogliaghi there is just no mistaking the way these
bikes ride. I asked Jay Van De Velde for his opinion, he describes the ride
of Pogliaghi as Butter Like. Very soft and comfortable ride with plenty
of BB stiffness. Ive never ridden an Italian bike that rides as well as
Pogliaghi (My Opinion). The size is 63cm c-c seat tube and 59cm top tube.
Built with Columbus SL tubing forks and stays, 27.2 seat post. No braze-ons
except one water bottle on down tube and Cable guides on top of BB shell.
Nutted brakes. Price $995 See at
