Hi All,
I just spent several hours cutting Regina Corsa 5 speed freewheel from a Campagnolo 'Nuovo' Tipo hubset I wanted to salvage. My freewheel was stripped where the tool would normally bite and I tried many ways to remove it. Nothing worked, so I (like a fool) took out my trusty Dremel and a carbide cutting disk and went to town. I cut off all the sprockets layer by layer until I got to the freewheel body which I put a wrench on and finally removed. Unfortunately, I cut into one of the bearing race covers and bent the other one in the process. I'm sure you're getting the picture now.... After I removed the body, I rushed into the bathroom and washed out my sinuses with salt water because I inhaled lots of vintage dust during my OCD inspired vintage freewheel removal frenzy. Then I jumped in the shower to get the remainder of the dust off of me. And now, here I am, clean as a whistle, wanting to jump to the rebuilding phase of these crappy hubs. Thanks in advance for listening to my ranting. If you happen to have two of these race covers please contact me. They are not the same size as the NR / SR cover / caps. I had a pair of those but they did not fit.
