Didn't Harris cyclery once sell a kind of brake pivot bolt that could give a guy additional clearance when the tire is nearly touching the fork crown. The bolt is either in reality or my imagination, but as I remember it, the bolt exits the fork crown and then turns up so that one can mount a standard brake caliper on a tight clearance track bike or the like. I see they sell drop bolts but no lift bolts for the opposite situation. This is for a buddy who is adapting a front brake on a classic Raleigh track bike for street use (on topic).
