Hello Classic Rendezvous!
I have for sale a 1961 Mercian "King of Mercia" frame and fork. The ride quality is exceptional: steadfast and true, yet lively and agile. The action of the stays seems to redouble the efforts of the rider with each pedal stroke, giving the bike a wonderful light feel. Alas, it is slightly too large for me. It has the original paint, which has aged to a lovely patina over the decades, and original decals on the seat tube and head tube are in good condition but somewhat scratched. I would rather see this frameset go to someone who will appreciate its rustic yet noble, antiquated character. It is wise and old and it has ripened with age and experience. It would be a shame to refinish it! Beautiful wrap-around seat stay junction.
