Subject: [CR] Help with Colnago '77 frame--correction and update of discussion

Sharp-eyed Lou Deeter pointed out off list that my frame and fork (58 c to c)couldn't be three pounds--silly me.  It's about 3 kg (!), as I hadn't changed the settings on the digital scale.  Light as a feather indeed.

Also, the seatpost that came with the bike is undersized at 26.6.  It should probably take a 27 or a 27.2, as the 26.6 brings the gap at the top of the lug almost to full close.  Thanks, Lou.

Thanks, also to Peter Gilbert, who wrote that early Mexicos had chainstays without a crimp.

Proving once again what collective knowledge resides here.

With thanks,

Robert Aguirre Detroit, MI
