Hi Todd, On the black plastic Simplex parts, I used an automotive product call "Back to Black" by Mothers. It is originally intended for sun-bleached black plastic fenders (bumpers). I used this and then, believe it or not, I used a leather conditioner, also from Mothers. This, I felt, put a bit of moisture into the dried surface of the plastic parts and would help to preserve the blackness a while longer. The longevity of this treatment has yet to be tested.

The result can be seen in the photos of a PX10 that I recently completed. http://petersclassicwheels.blogspot.com/

I hope that this helps.

All the best,
