Speaking of Jamie Swan......
I had hoped to get to Cirque this year, either riding down or driving and bringing a Jamie Swan frame, but I have Italian visitors arriving Saturday morning and staying with us.
I bought the frame bare and picked it up in person at Centerport, Long
Island. Photos of my visit with Jamie:

It was a great visit and I'd like to visit Jamie more often but I was traumatized by the rush-hour traffic on the Cross Bronx Expressway and George Washington Bridge.
I didn't have a burning desire to mail the frame to a painter, with so many
horror stories out there about bikes being damaged, so I opted to use Tom
Kellogg of Spectrum Cycles:

Kellogg can take 4 to 6 months to paint a frame. He batches his paint work
up before he gets started on painting so it really depends upon when you
bring your bike in. I added a teaser photo of the finished paint result to
this blog entry which has many detail photos of the bare frame:

While I was picking up the frame there was a guy picking up a Masi that he
had restored by Kellogg. Strangely, he knew Jamie from when he worked in a
bike store in Long Island eons ago. Photos of Tom Kellogg, has work place,
and the owner of the Masi:

Ciao tutti, hope you have a great time at Cirque....
Angel Garcia Long Valley, NJ
snip: I will be unable to make it down for the Cirque due to the move, but I'd like to wish everyone a great time enjoying the wonderful bikes and great company. Big shouts to Drew from Engin, Mitch from Map, the Bilenky crew, JPW, Jamie Swan and all the other KOFs that will be heading down there. Thanks to TH for carting the frame down there for me.
Any questions, please drop me an email.
Best, Dan Polito
