It was bound to happen. I had built up a Paramount Mixte for my wife that had been nicely repainted by our very own Peter Weigle. She seldom road it but now my lanky 11-year old daughter (already taller than Mom) has laid claim to it. She now will not ride the tig-welded Taiwanese thingie I bought for her two years ago. I can't really blame her. The Paramount is all gleaming blue, chrome and polished aluminum, light as a feather with sew-ups. And she is such a conscientious, responsible kid. I've never seen her bike thrown down, scratched or left out to rust or be stolen. However, the wife is not happy about her bike being expropriated. So now I need another nice Mixte around 20" to 21" on the seat tube. I'd love another Paramount but I'm open to any other high-quality mixte. I'd rather just buy a frame but I'm open to a complete bike.
