Subject: [CR] New Member and Cirque Thoughts....

Hello fellow listers. My name is Donald Keisdich and I hale from up Nova Scotia way: Lunenburg to be precise. I've got a few old roadsters and an early 70's Flying Scot that I am in the process of retooling. Somewhere along the ways, I misplaced the uniquely threaded seat binder bolt and have been searching for one. Any clues?

I had the good fortune of visiting my sis who resides in Paeonian Springs, VA during the pendency of your Cirque event. I wandered over there on Sunday. I didn't know a soul since I was not onlist at the time; so, I just wandered about looking at the bikes and the vendors wares.

What I Liked: The cycles on display were quite an experience. I had not seen many of the marques and had only read about others. The variation was fabulous. I could have spent hours at each section. I am really glad I went and saw what I did. Most people seemed very friendly and eager to be there. It created quite a good mood

Needs to Improve: Hope as a new guy no one will take exception. Spent my years in the fish meat trade and endured many an odd trade show. I must say that dirt barn presents an odd conundrum. One needs to have some big fans goin' but then it would create the dust storm from Hades. Seems to me that there has got be somewhere in budget that can accommodate the show w/o all the dirt. Seemed a shame to park a gazzillion dollars worth of bikes in the dirt. Lastly, some of the vendors were down right surly. Seems to me, in a swap like atmosphere, you must expect negotiating--its used parts for chis's sake. In fact one guy I'd like to punch in the face. He was outside with his devil music blaring so loud I could not hear. I asked him to turn it down and he refused. We then talked price on a frame and he asked me to leave. He need not be back. I am happy to report his name to the CR authorities.
