CR List: The topic of leather saddle care and restoration has been recently revisited in the CR list. Recalling that a boot manufacturer I worked for long ago used to soak their uppers in a water and alcohol solution, I was searching the internet for more information about this, and stumbled upon the following web site:

It seems to have a lot of useful and authoritative information backed up with practical experience. My poor Ideale 90 IR seems to be on the decline again (fine cracking) and it may be time for drastic action.
