Subject: [CR] For Sale 26 x 1 1/4in rims, Mavic MA2 32H, Osgear, Sturmey ASC, Universal brake callipers

Hi everyone,

Offered for sale to CR members are some Dunlop 26 x 1 1/4in rims (I have some new tyres to fit these rims), a lovely Sturmey ASC, 32H Mavic MA2 rims and a Super Champion Osgear. Shipping rims to the USA costs 46 GBP - there are savings to be made with shipping more than one pair and other items can also go in the box free of charge.

I can take payment a number of ways - Paypal, cheque in GBP, cash sent registered post, Traveller\u2019s cheques in $, direct bank transfer within the UK or European Iban bank transfer.

With the pound being low in value these are a real bargain... for US and European buyers. All have pictures you can check out on Photobucket.

DUNLOP ALUMINIUM 26 x 1 1/4in 32/40H RIMS slightly wider section than the one below lightly used and excellent condition, almost no wear to braking surface from the 1940s/early 50s 95 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Dunlop-26-14in-32-40.jpg

DUNLOP ALUMINIUM 26 x 1 1/4in 32/40H RIMS slightly narrow section than the one above lightly used and excellent condition, almost no wear to braking surface from the 1940s/early 50s 95 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Dunlop-26-1-14-rims-NS-32-4.jpg

DUNLOP SPECIAL LIGHTWEIGHT 26 x 1 1/4in 32/40H RIMS NOS these were standard fitment on most high end British lightweights from the late 30s into the 50s. Both rims are NOS the front is almost perfect but the rear was not stored in good conditions so has some corrosion marks, the worst of which are shown in the picture. 75 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Dunlop-SL-26-set-1-1.jpg

MAVIC MA2 700C 32H rims - these are in very nice condition with only light wear to the braking surfaces and have the later decals but earlier repro style decals are available. 35 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/MA2-32H.jpg

SUPER CHAMPION OSGEAR 3-SPEED c1937-9 in very nice condition I will supply a generic spoke protector to complete the set. These gears are so indicative of the pre-war and post war eras of road racing and they give a beautiful distinctive appearance to a road bike of this period... 160 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Super-Champion-Osgear-1938.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/1936-Cat-picture-Osgear.jpg

UNIVERSAL BRAKE CALLIPERS Early type with Q/R in very nice condition - one set of arms is deep drop, the other shallow - at preset the deep arms are on the front bolt but these could easily be swapped to the rear bolt 30 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Universal-brake-callipers.jpg

STURMEY ARCHER ASC FIXED WHEEL HUB GEAR Offered for sale is an very good/excellent Sturmey Archer ASC 3-speed fixed wheel hub gear with 40 spoke holes complete with the Sturmey Archer nuts, quick release cable fittings, cable, seat tube rollar, top tube stop, ASC trigger and sprocket. Although this hub does not come with wingnuts I do not normally recommend their use as it is very difficult to really get the wheel secure - standard wheel nuts used with anti-torque washers are far better. The ASC gear offers a bottom gear 25% below normal - I normally set these up with a normal gear of about 72in - you then get a low gear of just over 50in ideal for climbing those short sharp steep inclines and second gear is about half way between. I have fully serviced this hub. The shell is very good with only as few minor marks apart from some minor spoke marking on the flanges. The bearing surfaces in the right side ball cup are only lightly worn and innards show only signs of light use. I was one of the the very few recommended by Sturmey Archer in the 1980s to service their obsolete gears so I do know what I am doing. 249 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Sturmey-ASC.jpg
