I definitely think there was a bit of "classic part mania" going on with that sellers latest offerings that ultimately caused people to bid more than normal. Take a gander at his completed listings:

Pretty insane. I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a single component such as brakes when I know I could probably get a complete that is very nice and very french with some of the same components.
