I am running a three-arm cottered Magistroni crank on a bike that I picked up from member, Harvey Sachs--thank you Harvey. After riding it a bit, I have noticed that one arm only slightly, and not on every turn of the crank, grazes--just barely nicks the chainstay. I have readjusted the bottom bracket, redid the cotters, and it still nicks that chainstay. Which would be better to do, if either would work, place a thin spacer between fixed cup and frame forcing the arm out slightly, or replacing the current spindle with a slightly longer one assumjing I have another spindle that would work?
Thank you.
Cheers.
