Hi,
I have an Airlite hub - one of those with a steel chromed barrel and alloy flanges - on which most of the chrome has rusted away. I polished off the rust and what remained of the chrome, and now it is all pretty and shiny - but of course, prone to rust very quickly again as nothing stands between steel and the elements. I thought that perhaps I could clear-coat it to prevent corrosion - has anybody done that, and if so exactly how you did it and what were the results? Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.
