Coolio's ...

I think Krister might be right. No Gran Sport or Pista headset I know had downwards drooped cups like that. And from what I know Gran Sport headsets had only 2 wrench flats. I discount the box. It doesn't mean anything other than being presented with it ... I have learnt this in the past the hard way.

FWIW the same seller has what looks like a genuine Pista headset running concurrently ...

The copy for this auction item made me wince some.

Alluding that it might be NOS is ... well ?? Having 2 items purportedly being the same and not noticing the difference ??. Not knowing is fine, but checking for more details to find out what differentiates Pista headsets isn't that hard. I recall the oufit Velo Culture posted here recently. If not can someone remind the "New Kids on The Block" (insert big grin here) about lower stack height, smaller bearings, significance of wrench flats and the smaller radius cups.

To be fair, I've made similar mistakes when selling on ebay and addressed them once informed. It's good to sell on ebay but we must be careful as it's the primary source of information and knowledge for many out there.

ciao,
