Many thanks to all who replied to my request for the Stronglight crank. There were many replies and offers, just what makes this list so great. And in our discussion of restoration or not, there have been many opinions, but they all share one common thread: the love of vintage bicycles. The only conclusion in the end is that each of us has their own opinion, based on individual tastes, experiences, and goals. Some of us have the resources to seek perfection, while others operate on a limited budget. In the end, we do what gives us pleasure and satisfaction, be it originality, restoration, or simply riding. I learned a lot from the discussion and the whole thread has given me more insight into what my future decisions will be. It was also impressive to see the level of knowledge that was expressed. It would make a great book. I learned a lot.
