List, Was there ever any contention between Campagnolo and Chouinard Equipment over the Diamond C logo? This logo appears on scans of Campagnolo catalogs as early as 1958. The only place I've seen it used is on the friction screws of certain Campagnolo shifters, and it immediately reminded me of Chouinard Equipment. Yvon Chouinard began hand making pitons in 1957. I don't know when he began using the logo.
