The binder bolts referenced here are Gripfast #124 binders. Not really exotic, but pretty nicely made actually, with a decent chrome finish. According to Mr. Pinto, these were never used as original equipment on Gitane frames, but were a common replacement, and probably better quality than the originals.
I initially thought the blue 'G' was a sticker, but upon further inspection they are an enameled insert (which can actually be punched out). I couldn't even scratch through it with an Xacto blade, so it's pretty tough. The bolt shaft is 7.8mm or about 5/16". I have two lengths, 1 1/8" and 1 1/4". The shorter one closes down to 14.5mm, the longer to 18.5mm. $5 cash, check or money order payable to Velo Classique, gets you one of each length shipped anywhere in the continental US. (the bag and postage is probably close to $2, or maybe more). Want to buy 100? Let's talk!
