Here's my predicament:
I built up a 32/40 26" wheelset for my 50's Hobbs, but couldn't get a "hop" out of the front wheel. The rims were used, but still had lots of miles left.
So after many frustrating efforts I took the wheel to the only bike shop I trusted and got it back round & true.
The only problem was that the bike shop used their old and trusty hammer to get the hop out. Not long afterwards, the rim developed a crack and had to be scrapped.
Overseas shipping of rims makes a proper rebuild much too expensive. But as I have a few 36 spoke Weinman rims, I could use a 36 spoke front hub.
Anybody have a 36 spoke Bayliss Wiley 3pc High Flange Font hub they can spare?
