Hi, Ken---
Churchill is the maker of the frame. I have seen one other, a light blue frame with original transfers. It sold on UK Ebay a few years back, then recently (last year or so) was sold on US Ebay. Perhaps one of our List Members owned it or recently bought it.
I have pictures of the frame somewhere in my archive and will try to dig them out for you.
I remember having been fascinated with the marque when I first saw it. And interesting downtube transfer, too, as I recall with block, drop-shadow letters.
Cheers,
Peter

\r?\n> Another call for help please in
\r?\n> identifying a frame the forum helped me before and that has
\r?\n> led me into a whole new world, or rather evisit one I
\r?\n> thought ended around 1970 for me!
\r?\n>
\r?\n> I recently bought a '1946 Handmade Churchill Frame'.
\r?\n> I 've posted some hurried photos here http://picasaweb.google.com/
\r?\n> I wanted the period seat stem and some other parts
\r?\n> for my Hill Special period rebuild. (Really been bitten by
\r?\n> the bug there - just bought a Blackpool one - nobody told me
\r?\n> steel could be an obsession! )
\r?\n>
\r?\n> The Churchill frame has bits of masking tape on it from an
\r?\n> ancient repaint and judging from the fluff in every orifice
\r?\n> has been stored under a bed for a few years! The parts
\r?\n> however, had been covered in grease prior to storage
\r?\n>
\r?\n> I can't find any information about 'Churchill'
\r?\n> and don't know if this was a model name or a maker. The
\r?\n> simplex changer seems to be around the right date although
\r?\n> according to Hilary's list on the main site the the code on
\r?\n> the Williams chain ring is 1964 although it doe have the
\r?\n> stamp 45 which is the number of teeth.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> I'll probably sell it on as my new hobby is proving
\r?\n> quite expensive;-) but would like to know what I have before
\r?\n> I decide what to do with it.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Thanks
\r?\n>
