Info Request: World Sport and Sanwa
A year ago I acquired a fairly nice older 12 speed road bike with the name decal "Sanwa". I found out just this weekend at a bike swap meet that this is the absolute identical bicycle to an older Schwinn World Sport that a collector was exhibiting. Both were made at the same factory in Taiwan. I measured the geometry totally and they are THE SAME ride. Lugged, same 4130, same braze ons, same Sun Tour componentry, nothing different except the name tags, Can anyone provide me with any further info on these older rides? Are there any other brand names possibly which have shared head tube space on this very same machine? What are you other member's opinions on the World Sport. Is the Schwinn at all "collectable"? Is there any reason that the Sanwa has any less value? If the decal were removed the Sanwa IS the Schwinn. Any information on these rides and any opinions would be appreciated.
