Ctrl+Alt+Del or Right Click on Taskbar and select Task Manager...

brings up Task Manager...choose applications tab...select app...kill process.

OSX, Linux, Unix, Irix, BSD, etc...:

Drop to a terminal and use "ps -ef | grep more" to identify the quilty process...

kill -9 (process number)

OR

Find the GUI utility that allows you to view a list or processes...do the same...
