No, these shifters are more like the Suntour ratchet shifters. They have a very fine ratchet, so there is no friction when pulling on the levers, only when releasing them. The clicking can serve as a sort of primitive indexing.
They have excellent feel. They have an unusual color, which looks like titanium, and are unusually thick. Functionally, they the result is similar to Simplex retrofriction.
