Hi Richard. The Raleigh Competition came w/ the Jubilee derailleurs for 2 or 3 yrs starting in 1973; these frames had Huret dropouts. They then became Competition GS [Grand Sport] w/ Campy Nuovo Grand Sport derailleurs and Campy dropouts. As Vertyg [Chas. Colerich] noted the last of the 3 Jubilee ref. #s is for the Jubilees w/ a special tabbed washer allowing it to be used on a Campy style dropout. Verktyg thinks there was a [subtle?]cage difference [not shown in the drawings] between the 24 and 28 capacity [shortcage w/ a 36-53 front range]Jubilees. This makes sense and i'll check my stock to see if there are any differences in the ones i have. I can't say i've ever noticed any and assumed all the short cages were identical. The Jubilee long cage may have had the same dimensions as the Allvit and Luxe touring cages but those were steel and the Jubilee cage was alloy. I'll let you know if i find anything more out. OFF LIST Hi, Billy, Ooops. I forgot to emphasize: I do not know if my short cage Jubilee is the short cage 24t or the short cage 28t because I don't know what the difference is. By process of elimination, I am assuming it is the short cage 24t because it is for Campag (24t as per cataloge spec (what is the Huret catalogue tag: "something" italiane or such). But who knows. I wonder if Jerry Moos Raleigh Competition has Huret or Campag drop-outs and if his Jubilee has the Campag mounting washers or the Huret mounting washers. OFF LIST To: billydavid13@comcast.net Date: Friday, September 11, 2009, 9:55 PM Hi, Billy, Good to hear from you. Hope all is well. As per the on-line Huret catalogues I've seen within the past 8 hours, Jubilee short cage were listed for (rear sprocket max.) 24t and 28t AND Jubilee long cage were listed for (rear sprocket max.) 24t and 28t. The long cage accepted a smaller front inner ring than the short cage. The exploded part number views for the short cage show only one "set" of p/n's and do not cite any 24t vs 28t differences. Ditto for the long cage views. Puzzling. My Jubilee has no part numbers on it and, I cannot see any re-positioning hole permitting one to re-position something in some manner to change between 24t and 28t.
