A new acquisition has presented me with a stuck stem (Cinelli XA) and four, count 'em, stuck water bottle screws.
The stuck stem isn't worrying me too much, as I've had some experience in that arena, including once having to get positively medieval on a stubborn 1R, may it rest in pieces. But the water bottle screws are making me nervous.
Has anything more effective than Kroil (or as effective and more readily available from retail sources) come on the scene recently?
I'm prepared to take my time with the screws, as the prospect of stripping the 3mm allen heads makes me shudder. The presence of bottle cages would complicate any effort to slot the heads for more purchase. Tips welcomed.
All this on a mid-90's KOF. Someone has been very bad.
