I have Campy hubs on Dian's Puegeot UO18. The problem is the axle hangs out too long past the end of the locknuts. When you clamp down on the lever it bottoms out instead of clamping. An extra thin washer on each end will shorten the axle overhang and work well. Or you can grind the end of the axle 1-2 mm.
