Subject: [CR] Stronglight 105 Inner + 93 Outer on 93 Crank

I've been watching this discussion because I was about to try something which may be ill advised. Please let me know before I scar up my chainrings.

My intention was to run a Stronglight 93 on an on topic bike in front with a modern Shimano 9 speed cassette and rear derailleur and a SRAM 9 speed chain (temporarily).

These chains are even narrower. Is it not going to work?

I agree about the Stronglight 57, 63, 93, and 105 problems. I have a triple and the chain will jam between ANY TWO of the three rings. Every time I shift, I have to pedal artificially slowly so as not to load the chain, as it skirts between the rings. If I shift under pressure, the chain jams so deeply it's almost impossible to get it out of the crankset. I think the bike is running an SRAM PC-58 chain. I've been reluctant to molest (lightly sand) the crank arm tabs.

It would be good to know who makes the widest modern 3/32 chain??
