What do you mean by "continental angles"? In the early 1960s I raced in Belgium in the environs of Antwerpen on bikes called CYCLES OK. They were lugless frames made with straight gauge Reynolds 531. Though it's 15 years after the war, do you think there's any connection? Scotland and Flanders are not far apart by sea. Also, I doubt that aircraft used db tubing.
