I have two Allegros and two Mondias, one of which I just recently bought from a CR member. At least until the 80's, these marques typically used a French threaded HS, which is smaller, 25 mm thread diameter versus 25.4 mm for English and Italian. But unlike French bikes that used a 22.0 mm stem, these Swiss bikes often used a 22.2 stem, meaning the wall thickness of the steerer had to be significantly smaller.
