hi, not to elevate this into a pissing contest...i never use caps ....i think this list wouldn't exist in its present form w/o dale ,and i believe it is the sponsors that pay for the "server" ..i don't believe anyone is obsequios to dale, though he has certain rules about "courtesy"... and this list "is" for the promotion of knowledge and fellowship among enthusiasts of vintage bikes...not internet knowledge ,computer literacy, english literature and sorry if you get bored by questions people don't know the answer to and may not be literate enough to find...just my two cents worth..i believe i am somewhere between a whippersnapper and a codger and i should know better than to add any more unsolicited advice....so i will mention that there are still some bargains on e-bay as we speak to add a little bike content..as with everything in life you need patience and to pick your spots..so don't give up on acquiring a campy lockring bb wrench and it was great that jbz had the knowledge to point out an inexpensive alternative...now i am digressing unmercifully and probably creating run on sentences and ignoring all paragraphical precepts so i'll just sign off......kevin ruberg howell nj usa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps. and neither does youth

Please use http://search.bikelist.org/ before posting! If you need to bring something up again, it really helps to show that you've done your homework.

It would really help if people would show basic competence with correspondence: - Use capitalization - Hit enter sometimes - Write in paragraphs with sentences, or in list form, but not both at the same time - Click reply to continue discussion, don't copy text into a new email - Don't spam the list with contentless "me too"s

I know a lot of y'all are getting on in years, but that doesn't excuse oblivious discourtesy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it seems that the inverse is true: everyone seems to think that Dale hosts the list (he's the moderator) and are publicly obsequious towards him.

It's actually Alex Wetmore here in Seattle that hosts the list, though he never reads it as we're weirdos.
