Eric,

I have found that the thin replacement laces available for men's dress shoes work well in my off-topic cycling shoes, but they should function well in yours.

They may not be "period correct" in age or looks, but the dress shoe laces I have found at shoe repair shops certainly look like the ones I recall from decades ago when I squeezed my poor feet into DP40s with T.A. nail-on cleats....(Ouch.)
