If some of the Brethren & Sistren are coming to the Westminster Swap Feb 14 <http://www.stopswapandsave.com/>, I will have a table. With luck and by tradition, it will be in the same end of the pasture as the Brothers Sanford & other vintage folk. By prior request, I can lug the following things up for fun, conversation, and to meet the needs of others at modest prices:

--> Box of old cottered BB spindles in a weird variety of lengths. Bring me your poor, your tired, your worn-out spindles and we can try to match. Bring at least one of your cranks, too, since there are subtle diameter differences among the various European/British flavors, as well as the variations in overall length and length from each side. Trust me, this stuff is hard to do by eyeball or remotely. Figure $15 each as a ballpark. I'll bring a micrometer so we can look professional.

--> Boxes of BB cups & lockrings for cottered stuff (but very shy on the FR lockrings). Estimate $15/set for unmarked British, up to double that for marked and pretty stuff (bayliss-wiley, etc). Less for TDC. :-) Maybe more for proper cups for later cotterless cranks, but I have some of that stuff, too.

--> Box of vintage headsets. I have no idea what's in there, but there is a lot more Stronglight than I'll ever use. Figure prices from $15 to $50.

--> Sturmey-Archer AW hubs in 36 and 40, with all the goodies in horrid shape: triggers, pulleys, stops, everything but cables and indicator chains. Priced to beat what you'd pay on eBay (counting postage), say $25 for a complete AW set-up except cable and chain. FW substantially more, no other models available.

--> Various old cleats, mostly or all new. I can also bring my shoe-maker's anvil and tools to apply such to your shoes (gratis), but bring your own nails. I think it was Chuck Brooks who caught me in the nailing act a few Cirques ago... Ain't worth more than $10/pr for the common ones, but I won't undersell Larry Black on the Anquetil longs, of which I have few.

--> Think about what else you might need that could have found nesting space in my vast array of Clementine boxes with old parts. Pletscher rack mounting gear, pump parts, freewheels. Can also bring a suite of FW tools to remove recalcitrant FW from your wheel - even TDC 3-notch. Yup, all this stuff just gravitated into my basement. No charge for pulling FW, of course.

SO. What's the catch? If I don't hear interest in particular items, I probably won't schlep the boxes up to the Swap meet, and you'll have to wait till Cirque for these Incredible Bargains. Don't miss this chance to finish up that rusty hulk lurking in the back corner of the basement, covered in spiderwebs.

This offer void in case of blizzard.
