Or at least rubber!

I have a Dunlop branded saddle, mine a youth size... Looks like leather at X number of feet away. Weird! :)

David, are you saying this saddle is made of rubber tire material?

Re Ebay item # 110488025633

I've been interested in these faux-leather saddles since I saw some in the Tokyu Hands hobby/department store in Shinjuku. (Shoulda bought one!) They must have been relatively common at one time. The idea of using a tire sidewall type of material for a tensioned saddle seems like a natural for cycles that will be used in all weather and will be left outdoors. So, the Japanese still make these (at least within the last 10 years), the French DID make them, are there English versions of this? I'd love to have one for my winter beater, but I'm not anxious to bid UP from fifty bucks for it!
