I think I have you beat on my UK to USA bubble wrap shipping story,,,,,, Received notice of US Postal package delivery notice that required pick-up. Went to get it, and there was my 1949 Hetchins Super Special frameset wrapped in nothing but bubble wrap with a shipping label attached!!! No box surrounding it, just bubble wrap!!!
Thank God it was undamaged, which is more than I can say for a couple of deliveries received from a poorly packed Italian seller.

Last month I received a set of Alloy rims from the UK .Wrapped around the rims was bubble wrap, and a label attached.
