Subject: [CR] My 'new' Galmozzi!

So I'm finally a Galmozzi owner! I went to Florence last week and stopped by a friend's place. He's Gastone Nencini's son and has quite a collection in Prato. Many of you may have purchased from him on eBay. A quick trade and it was mine! It's the first I've seen 'in the flesh'... my size, and it's now mine!

Mostly NR with GS brakes. I'll swap the rims out, since "hypothesis" is not a name I want on a vintage bike! Also, they're a bit new. Rear der shows '71' and I haven't looked inside the hub nuts. Brake levers look to be Victory/Triomphe, so I'll try to find appropriate NR with good rubber.

In his attic was a Guerando Gelli (local Prato shop) made by Galmozzi.

I have two questions about this bike. The fork crown is a bit odd to me. It has some rust-colored swirls on it and to the touch feels almost clear coated. Is this at all possible or just some strange rust effect that's new to my ignorant eyes? Also, does anyone know what year the headtube decal was introduced as opposed to the badge?
