I'm finally home to my computer, and want to publicly thank Marty Walsh and Fred Rednor for their great hospitality while I was visiting.
Marty went above and beyond. He met me at the starting point of our Sunday ride with a classic Olmo, full Campy, that fit me perfectly. Fred joined us there, and led a long bike path ride from Falls Church through Arlington and Alexandria to the new bike lane on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and across into Maryland.
After the ride back, Marty took me to the Bike Club, with a jumble of everything bicycle, including a couple of good beers. Then he took me to dinner.
A wonderful day, great ride, great company, and one of those perfect early season days in Washington. Thanks Marty and Fred.
