Subject: [CR] 1971, Falcon San Remo

A few posts back this month there was some discussion and interest in current restoration projects. For those interested in British lightweights, my project is a 1971 Falcon. I believe it's a Model 76 San Remo.

The Frame size is 23" ST (c-c); frameset is Reynolds 531; Campag. dropouts w/ eyelets; chromed Cinelli sloping crown fork. Serial A-15822. The original owner repainted the frame navy blue so I'm not certain of the original color. My best guess is that is was the racing team color of the era. From what I've been able to piece together this is Azure, a blue-cyan color?

Looking through the CR list serve archive I came across several authorities posting around 2006. One was Nigel Land ndland@btinternet.com who last posted in 2006.

So if Nigel is still around or if anyone else has some information to share on matching the paint and decals I would be most thankful to receive same.

Hopefully with the project far enough along it will appear in some form at le cirque in June (we'll, it's a goal).

Thank you in advance for helpful advice and suggestions.
