Offered to CR members are some interesting frames and a number of books which I know are favourites with CR members.

I can take payment a number of ways - Paypal or cheque in GBP, cash sent registered post, Traveller\u2019s cheques in $, direct bank transfer within the UK or European Iban bank transfer. I will always combine shipping in order to reduce costs.

All prices are in UK GBP Frames cost 80 GBP to ship to the USA, 100 GBP to ship to Australia/New Zealand and 11 GBP within the UK.

With the pound being low in value these are a real bargain... for US and European buyers. Paypal is quoting 1.55$ to 1 GBP.

CLARKS OF HARROW ROAD FRAME 1960s Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in) Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in) Rear dropout width: 115mm Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 48mm) Bottom bracket threads: British Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted Seatpost size: 27.2mm This is a really nice late 50s/early 60s road frame almost certainly built by Wally Green; its typical of Wally Green\u2019s work. There are some details on Wally Green at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/wallygreen.html and http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British_isles/Green_W.htm The original paint and decals are in very useable condition with only a small number of not very obvious marks. 85 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Clarks.jpg

RALEIGH TEAM REPLICA ROAD FRAME 1984/5 Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in) Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in) Rear dropout width: 126mm Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 45mm) Bottom bracket threads: English Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531C Raleigh produced a lot of frames in Team colours in the 1970s and 80s. This is one of the Team Replica frames produced in the Lightweight unit after it moved to Nottingham and was built in 1984 - it seems it was sold in 1985 as it has the Reynolds 50th anniversary tubing decal on the down tube. These were built in small batches to order and were made from Reynolds 531C tubing. This one is in sound condition though the paint has suffered a little. Careful retouching would make this frame look quite presentable. 85 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Raleigh-Team-Rep-1985.jpg

DENTON (MERCIAN) ROAD FRAME c1980 Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in) Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in) Rear dropout width: 126mm Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 42mm) Bottom bracket threads: English Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted Seatpost size: 27.2mm Dentons are a Newcastle bike shop - and this frame was built by Mercian for them. It is is a very nicely made road frame with quite tight clearances. The paintwork is in generally excellent condition with only a small number of marks none of which are at all obtrusive. 125 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Denton.jpg

TONY OLIVER TOURING BIKES Frame design building Offered for sale is an excellent copy of Touring Bikes by Tony Oliver and published in 1990. The title of this book is rather misleading for it is really a primer on bicycle frame design and building as well as the speccing of touring bikes and tandems. It contains detailed specs of all the frame tubing available in the late 1980s. It is 176 pages long. It is a truly great resource on lugged steel and fillet braze bicycle framebuilding. 39 GBP

ROAD TO SPEED by Lon Pullen and Len Thorpe 123pp This is a wonderful book published about 1957 which has photographs and details the riding positions of many top British riders - time triallists and trackies. See how the bikes of the 50s were actually ridden. It is a very rare little book, includes dustjacket 25 GBP

THE STORY OF THE RALEIGH CYCLE Rare Offered for sale is an excellent copy of the rare 1975 published hardback book The Story of the Raleigh Bicycle by Gregory Houston Bowden, great grandson of Raleigh\u2019s founder Frank Bowden. This well illustrated 216pp book covers the entire history of Raleigh cycles up until the 1970s including its subsidaries in the USA, South Africa etc. It is a reliable history in the most part and chronicles the Raleigh story well up to the 1970s.
