I have an allmost mint Cyclo Gears catalouge that has in pencil 1937 on the front cover, It is kinda Orange colour with a chap in black and his bike. Page 24 show the "ACE" close ratio racing gear device, Weight less triple freewhell 15oz shown only a three speed that I assume is 1/8"pitch. Constrictor Osgear, per the Classic Lightweights. Brit site shows Osgear in a 4 speed, It also states that Constrictor has secured the sole British rights to market this device. So "ACE and "OSGEAR" appear to be the same in principal The Osgear been ALL duraluminnnn and ONLY! 12 1/2 ozs, It does NOT appear that the "Osgear" was ever made for a three speed? The Early 40s Raleigh that my Uncle Tom converted from a Sturmey 3sp to a Cyclo Ace 3 speed for me to RACE! on was NOTHING but a Pain in the arse, Should have stuck with the Sturmey!
