I truly sympathize.  I was SURE my house would either be egged or tee-pee'd for my continuing to ride my otherwise period-correct pre-1983 Ciocc San Cristobal with certain OT pedals and brake levers.  (Yes, I'm suppose I'm just such a maverick!) Enjoy your bike, regardless.  I'd rather see a well-built vintage frame ridden rather than relegated to someone's wall or a museum.

There are people in my yard! Waving pitch forks! It's the "Keepers of the Flame"! Heehee! Seriously, I can understand how someone might find my paint concept  a bit "rattling". But it's still a Hurlow underneath and when I die hopefully my grieving widow will offer this bike to the CR list serv and someone can "fix" it.
